Six Families of Finish Types to Choose From...

Please note that all finish types do not come in all colors - here's why:
Colors are not directly interchangeable among finish types because they represent a variety of textures and fabrication methods. Various textures create something called a "shadow effect" which alters the perception of a specific color from one texture to another. Therefore, it's required that you examine and approve physical samples of your finish choice before your order goes to production.

SB - Sand Blast
This finish reflects the texture and color of natural stones like limestone and sandstone. Shades are muted and in some examples small, colored aggregate is exposed to create part of the finish appearance. The invisible sealer minimizes the inherent porosity.
GR - Granite
The granite finish option is similar to the sandblast finish but the appearance closely mimics natural granite. Durable in high use areas. this finish is somewhat easier to repair and maintain than the conventional sandblast finish.
NS - Natural Sand
The "look and feel" of a sandblast surface, but with deeper and more uniform color, this finish is a mixture of natural sands that give the primary color depth and natural variation.
FS - Fresco Segundo
Produced through a multi-step process, this high-performance premium matte glaze finish is easy to touch up, making it ideal for commercial applications where performance and maintenance are considerations. An easy-to-clean, totally sealed, smooth finish.
AG - Argentine
This finish, named for the famous veinless marble from Argentina, emulates the subtle color variation of polished natural stone. Created in a labor-intensive process, this finish is costlier than other finishes, but the smooth surface provides ease in maintenance.
FG - Fine Grain
A subtle texture to create shadow detail and uniform tactile response on this totally sealed surface. Easy to clean and especially attractive in dark, dense colors.

Integral Color describes finishes where mineral pigments are mixed into the base material for finish appearance.

Applied Finishes are bonded to the exposed surface of part after primary casting is complete.

Abrasion Resistance is an indication of the finish capability to resist surface marring as a result of glancing and direct blows associated with casual abuse.

Ease of Cleaning is a maintenance issue that become more involved as the surface texture becomes more irregular. Stonewear products are easy to clean because they are sealed in an appreciate manner, but the textured surfaces require a water rinse to remove the detergent lifted film from the surface. This is easily done by brushing from the top down with fresh water.

Ease of Repair indicates the influence of the characteristics of the finish type to be touched up or repaired in the field.
