What does this mean?
The Canadian Standards Association (CSA) has certified the product. Under the CSA symbol you will notice the letters "NRTL/C". This Mark means that the product is certified for both the U.S. and Canadian markets, to the applicable U.S. and Canadian standards.

Since 1992, CSA International has been recognized as a Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory (NRTL) by the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). That means we test and certify your products to U.S. as well as Canadian standards. And you can be sure that your certification will be recognized by federal, state, provincial, and local authorities.

CSA’s international network stretches throughout the Americas, Europe, and Asia. CSA is recognized as a Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory (NRTL) by the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). This means CSA can test and certify products for both U.S. and Canadian markets, eliminating the need for duplicate testing, and saving manufacturers time and money. To help manufacturers who want to retain two certification marks on their products for North America, often useful for components, this process is facilitated through the Memorandum of Understanding between CSA and UL. Through this agreement manufacturers can have a wide range of products tested and evaluated by one organization, and use the test data to obtain the certification mark of the other organization eliminating the need for duplicate testing.
