Since 1976 we have been applying advanced cement composite technologies to
the fabrication of watertight architectural shapes (fountains, planters, etc.) where
the cost / benefit exceeds that of conventional materials. We pioneered the use
of GFRC cast stone for site amenities.
Our other website at www.Stonewear.com
illustrates many other products we manufacture that help to give the
"look and feel" to all types of buildings and site improvements.
This orientation carries through when we apply our Stonewear GFRC
technology to the applications for increased perimeter security where the
appearance of these barriers is a prominent issue in the decision process.
Our mission statement; "Produce a quality product and ship it on time",
has been unchanged for the last 25 years. Stonewear’s ability to consistently
achieve this goal is based on the twin foundations of our niche material
technology and our brand of customer service, which is decidedly interactive and
proactive.
As we become expert in a new product area we attempt to assist our potential
client in an honest evaluation process. Fundamentally, it is an educational
process; the client explains their needs and we describe the options available
as we know them. The draft of the Decision Process is an effort to document this
process for the barrier application.
Since we are a vertically integrated custom contract supplier, we have no
business bias other than to utilize all known information about the specific
project and to give the prospective client our best estimate of exactly what is
required with options for the unresolved "gray" areas.
Relating this to the barrier application market we can make the following
statements:
-
Our primary contribution is always going to be "making things look
good".
-
The strength issues are "just engineering" from our point of view
and since we are in a "shape and finish" business we can execute
on any type of design.
-
We have a nationwide network of local contractors with which we engage in
ongoing business so we can offer a "Single Source Solution" all
the way from concept, design, and fabrication to installation, planting, and
maintenance.
-
Our GFRC material technology has the desirable trait of "ductile
failure mode" which minimizes the "ballistic debris" produced
by an "impact event" (contrary to the brittle failure mode of
conventional concrete).
-
Our GFRC material technology is the material of choice for Pre-Finished
Permanent Form Work which dramatically minimizes the time a site is
"under construction" — it also costs less and looks better than
site built structures.
