Big changes are occurring at Magnalite.

We are growing; our markets are expanding.

Actually, we are not Magnalite anymore; we are STONEWEAR Composite Stone Products, as the parent of all our market focused businesses. The material changes (web site, literature, corporate id, etc.) will occur throughout 1997. As the STONEWEAR era emerges, this will be the expanded era of business relationships - the ongoing kind, as opposed to the one shot kind.

We are at war with the old pattern of supplier/client relationships - or lack of, in some cases. We can win this war by working together as a TEAM.

That word, TEAM, gets used and abused but in its purest form it means not letting your fellow TEAM MEMBER down:

By failing to do what we both know how to do or said we were going to do.
By failing to embrace the attitude of learning what we need to know to support one another.

The affirmative or positive description of being a STONEWEAR CLIENT TEAM MEMBER is simply doing whatever needs to be done to achieve our TEAM goals (budget compliance, on time shipping, site preparations per plan, accurate documents, honesty in transactions, etc.).

We have a new symbol to commemorate this attitude. We call it a "Come along" and that is exactly what we hope you will do, again and again – come along with STONEWEAR and be a CLIENT TEAM MEMBER.

The central message of the Come along is "What goes around, comes around". Like all good "sayings" it can mean different things in different circumstances, but there is a unifying thread of meaning and the more one thinks about it, the more it becomes clear.

The Come along as a symbol means:

Our actions and intentions, the line, begin and grow, creating results, that begin and grow as they come back to us. It signifies an ongoing cycle of the same - what we put out into our markets come back to us as a similar or comparable result.
The quality, the intent, the nature of what we do comes back to us in a different form, but with the same quality, intent, or nature in which it was started - we get back what we put out!
If we take care of our CLIENT TEAM, our CLIENT TEAM will take of us.

Sometimes it is hard to see the connections of the Come along, and one has to look back through time to see the patterns, but it is more fun to look forward to the future to anticipate the connections and benefits.
