Sanborn Fountain

Problem: The art deco glazed terra cotta tiles creating the facade of the fountain center feature have had too many freeze thaw cycles in the Texas panhandle.

The city of Amarillo needs a STONEWEAR fix.

Solution: The original design was maintained and recreated in a monolithic STONEWEAR center feature that also allowed all the old leaking plumbing to be replaced. Access was created in hidden panels in the center structure.

The contrasting color trim was cast as a separate part and attached by STONEWEAR assembly personnel prior to shipment.
